Players to battle for $3,000 at Delta Teqball Tour

The championship is scheduled to hold between May 10-13 in Delta state

The 2023 Teqball Tour will witness 16 teams in action to battle for laurels.

The three-day national event will have over 12 states and clubs which will be first come first serve bases depending on entry interest.

The 2023 Teqball Tour will feature five categories: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.

Teqbal made its debut in Delta State
Pulse Sports reports that Teqball made its debut at the National Sports Festival in Delta State last year.

Teqball players from six states – Team Delta, Imo, Kwara, Edo, Ogun and Kogi State participated in singles and doubles demonstration events at the festival.

The secretary Nigeria Teqball Federation, Ndudi Edede said after the debut that there was still work to be done to address teqball’s problems, such as money and human capability.

He said, “We are taking our time to sharpen the man power or human capacity to improve how we shall be organising teqball in Nigeria. Now is the time to meet up international standard

The new, fastest-growing sport in the world is called Teqball soccer curve board game, which is played by talented footballers in a table tennis-like fashion.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Teqball Federation has full recognition from the country’s National Olympic Committee
