Victor Osimhen has been conferred with a National honour of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The conferment of the National honours on some distinguished Nigerians is one of his final actions ahead of his handing over to a new President on Monday, May 29.
Osimhen has further put the name of the country on the world map with his heroic performance for Napoli in the current season.
The striker helped Napoli to a first Serie A title in 33 years under Italian manager Luciano Spalletti. It was their third ever league title.
He has so far scored 25 league goals in the current season and is on course to win the golden boot.
