Senegal star player Sadio Mane has been ruled out of the World Cup following an injury to his knee in Bayern Munich’s 6-1 win over Werder Bremen.
The former Liverpool man who was replaced by Leroy Sane went straight down the tunnel for further treatment after being substituted in the 21st minute.
Now, Nuhu Adams a Ghanaian journalist on his social media account confirmed the painful news.“Senegal superstar Sadio Mané (30) has been RULED OUT for the @FIFAWorldCup per @lequipe and @canalplus reports.
” Adams writes on his Twitter account.Despite Bayern Munich’s assistant coach Dino Toppmöller giving words of hope claiming the injury “is nothing bad” the latest update says otherwise.
Senegal plays their first game at the 2022 World Cup against the Netherlands in group A on November 21 and coach Aliou Cisse will have to do without his star man all through Mundial.
