Bankole Olowookere, the chief coach of the Flamingos of Nigeria has been paid seven months backlog of salary by the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF).

This was disclosed to www.totorinews.com by a reliable source within the corridor of power in Nigeria, as he informed that NFF is fully committed to to meeting her financial responsibilities to coaches of the national teams.

Despite the harsh economic situation in the country, the NFF will do everything possible to clear debts owed coaches.

I can tell you authoritatively that Flamingos Coach, Bankolo Olowookere was paid seven months owed him by the NFF.

“NFF paid him and other coaches. Some were paid three months depending on the availability of funds. It is not a deliberate act by the NFF to owed these coaches.

“No professional is happy when he is owed his financial entitlement.

No employer or organisation deliberately does that.

Most coaches are quick to go to the media when they are being owed salaries, but will keep quiet after receiving their financial entitlements.

Gusau is fully committed to ensure proper administration of football in the country.
