Tope Ogunboye has officially taken over as the chairman Referees’ Society as the new executives were sworn in and officially handing-over took place.
Tope Ogunboye who became Raji Kamorudeen’s successor in an election held last month plies his trade in the Nigeria Professional Premier League.
The former deputy chairman of the state association Ola Adebusoye who anchored the swearing-in ceremony urged the new executives to be united and shun high-handedness.
The acceptance speech tagged “harmony must reign”,Tope Ogunboye Harped on the essence of unity as the association could only progress in the atmosphere of love and harmony.
He said the referees’ would always synergize with the FAs in a bid to develop football.
The immediate past chairman Raji Kamorudeen went down memory lane on how the society exponentially increased from 25 members he met on assumption office to about 40 members now.
In his Goodwill message,the FA chairman of Ilaje local government chief Orola urged the referees to be united and shun controversies while discharging their duties.
The event had in attendance elders of the association,FA members and other invited dignitaries.
