The 14th edition of Tubaba football scouting programs has come to an end with the defending champions retaining its title.
Ijapo Ages Stars FC who are the defending champions pipped Barracks eagle 4-1 on penalties after a goalless fulltime draw.
It was a keenly contested encounter as both teams played meticulously to ensure it ended goaless at the first half.
However,upon resumption of the second half, Barrack Eagles were presented with a golden opportunity to go ahead when Ijapo Eagles committed an infringement inside the box.
Uche who was entrusted with the spot kick but it was saved by Ijapo Ages Stars FC goalkeeper who parried it away,Ijapo Ages Stars FC celebrated the missed opportunity by barracks Eagles in an exhilarating manner.
As both teams could not break the deadlock in match duration, Ijapo Ages Stars FC won 4-1 on penalties to retain the title they won last year.
Earlier, Victory lions defeated Eagle FC by two goals to one to finish third.
Oluwafemi put Victory lions ahead in the first quarter of the match, However parity was restored when Alu Uche tapped in to level for Eagle FC.
Substitute Adafin fired home after he jinked past two defenders to restore Victory lions’ lead.
