On Tuesday night, Porto and Atletico Madrid clash at the Estadio Do Dragao in Group B of the Champions League.

PortoThe Portuguese team has already sealed their place in the last 16 but will be looking to also win the group, which could prove vital in the competition’s knockout stages.

They are currently second in the group, a point behind group leaders Club Brugge.Sergio Conceicao’s team have recovered well in the group to qualify for the knockout stages, as they lost their opening two group games.

However, a three-game winning streak has revived their European campaign.

The home side has thrived at both ends of the pitch in that recent winning run, as they have kept three straight clean sheets while also scoring at least two goals in each of the three victories.

Porto’s recent home record in European football’s elite competition couldn’t be more consistent, as they have won three and lost three of their last six home matches.

Atletico MadridDiego Simeone’s team have not enjoyed a great campaign at home or abroad.

Their recent form has been decent, but a 3-2 defeat at Cadiz last time out ended a six-match unbeaten run in all competitions for the men from Madrid.

Atletico’s Champions League campaign has been poor.

The team from the Spanish capital are winless since their gameweek one 2-1 home victory over Porto.

Home draws against Club Brugge and Bayer Leverkusen have e

nded their chances of making the competition’s knockout stages.

The visitors still occupy third spot in the group, which would see them drop into the Europa League in the New Year, but they are just a point ahead of bottom of the group Bayer Leverkusen.

Only a win would guarantee Atletico European football beyond gameweek six
