Wilfred Ndidi has picked up yet another injury and is set to be out for a few weeks, it has been confirmed.

Due to an injury, the Leicester City midfielder was forced to withdraw from the Nigerian team for the exhibition match against Algeria last month.

Ndidi returned to his club and was deemed fit to start Leicester City’s Premier League game against Nottingham Forest on Monday.

He played for the first 45 minutes and was hooked at the break after feeling discomfort in his hamstring. Leicester won 4-0, their first win of the season.

Ndidi has now been diagnosed with a hamstring strain and will be out for a few weeks, Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed.

He told the press:“The team is looking very good. We’re delighted with Monday night and we’re looking forward to our next game. In terms of the squad, Wilfred Ndidi will probably be out for a little bit.“He came back from international duty with a hamstring strain.

He recovered well but he felt it at half-time in the game and he was a little sore, so he might miss a few weeks.”Ndidi has made eight appearances for Leicester this season, starting all but one of those matches.

Leicester is 19th in the league table with four points.
