Ezekiel Nathaniel failed to progress to the final of men’s 400m as he finished 6th.

It was going to be a big task, as he went up against athletes like Kyron McMaster, CJ Allen and Jaheel Hyde.

Nathaniel had run a very quick 48.47s in the heats yesterday to qualify, just 0.05s off the National Record he set in 2021.

His compatriot Nigeria’s sole entrant in the women’s 100m at the 2023 World Championships, Rosemary Chukwuma was also in action, clocking a time of 11.26s to place 8th in the first semifinal of the event in Budapest.

She competed in the race won by defending champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce who won in 10.89s ahead of Tamari Davis in 10.98s and Ewa Swoboda in 11.01s.
